It’s now the new year and I have some big plans for the podcast! New graphics and music are going to slowly be rolled out with each episode, and I’m so excited to share with you some of the rebranding I’ve been working hard to consider, collaborate on, and create for a fresh new take!
First off, let me talk about the new music theme for the podcast. A while back, I’ve been considering my options for the podcast. I needed something that really fit well with the setup and flow of the audio. The generic, free-to-use track that I had selected for earlier episodes of the podcast just wasn’t cutting it, so I had removed music as a component altogether.
It wasn’t until more recently that I decided to ask my friend and colleague Dan Suriano (who has also been on the podcast) to help me create a new theme that fits well with the tone of the podcast. Thanks to the amazing work from Dan, I am excited to start featuring this theme in episode #18 and going forward!
As I mentioned, new graphics are in the works, but it’s taking a lot for me to consider what I want in this rebranding. I’m not sure when they will be ready, but I’m hoping to roll them out by the next episode of the podcast. I am also in the early stages of creating new motion graphics to use for the videos I post to YouTube. Again, I am not too sure on the direction I want to go with them, so this will take some time and consideration.
The first episode of 2021 features musician Jake Horne. I was able to catch up with Jake back in November when the US elections were in full swing, so we had a very interesting discussion about how current politics are so hard to avoid and how it has really affected our lives. In addition to that, we talked about the music that Jake has been working on with his two bands, Nephele and Space Weather, and what to expect for the future. Check out the information and links below for more on the episode!
